passend zum Frühling. Und was Puzzles sind, erklären wir euch im Laufe dieser Folge. Aber zuerst wiederholen wir die Wörter von der letzten Folge. Ihr erinnert euch? Es ging um den Valentine's Day.

To have a crush heißt verliebt sein oder schwärmen für jemanden. Head over heels. Hals über Kopf. Also Hals über Kopf verliebt sein.

To tie the knot heißt heiraten und wir haben euch in der letzten Folge versprochen, dass wir nachschauen, woher das kommt, weil tie the knot ja eigentlich einen Knoten zu binden heißt. Und das ist eine keltische Tradition, wo die Hände von Braut und Bräutigam bei der Hochzeit zusammengebunden werden. Deswegen heißt es tie the knot.

to wear your heart on your sleeve, offen sein. Also wortwörtlich sein Herz auf dem Ärmel tragen oder auf Deutsch würden wir sagen, du trägst dein Herz auf der Zunge.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, heißt sowas wie die Liebe wächst mit der Entfernung. All's fair in love and war, alles ist fair in der Liebe und im Krieg.

In dieser Folge haben wir für euch Ideen zum Sprachenlernen in der Natur und eine True-Crime-Story. Seid gespannt! Wir starten, wie immer, mit den wichtigen Wörtern. A sign has information on it and we call it Schild in German.

The next word is to go for a walk or to take a walk. Spazieren gehen auf Deutsch. Hier ist es wirklich wichtig, dass wir sagen to go for a walk oder to take a walk und nicht nur einfach walk. Das ist nur gehen und nicht spazieren gehen.

A puzzle ist im Englischen nicht nur ein Puzzle, sondern auch ganz allgemein ein Rätsel. Musik

So, we're going to talk about languages and nature. Now that spring has arrived, we love spending time in nature. So, we would like to collect some ideas for learning languages outside. And... Well, for example, when you're at the garden center and you want to buy a flower or a tree or another plant of some kind, then you can find the English names of your favorite plants on the signs. That's a good idea. Another one I personally really like is going for a walk while listening to podcasts. That way you can be active and at the same time you can learn something. Oh, that's a good idea. I love that one. If you want to spend some time outside, but you'd prefer to do so with a friend, then you can play some fun spring games or have some spring puzzles like bingo or memory.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Another idea is to take your homework to the garden or a park and do it outside. That's a nice change compared to sitting at your desk. And I know some teachers like to give homework, so it's an idea to do it outside. And when you are at the park anyways, because you do your homework there, then you could also take some photos of things you see and then look up the vocabs for the things you took photos of later at home. That way you have new words and also some nice photos. That sounds very nice. To publish something means to post it on a website or print it in a newspaper and in German we call that veröffentlichen.

An actress or an actor is a person who acts in movies. Actress is the woman, actor is the man. So Schauspielerin oder Schauspieler. A duchess is a herzogin.

Job advertisement or you can also say job advertisement. Short you can say job ad. So you can find them especially in newspapers where you can read about a job. Eine Stellenanzeige. A manhunt is when the police is searching for someone and we say Fahndung in German.

A prison is where criminals stay, so Gefängnis. And released means to be set free. In this case it means aus dem Gefängnis entlassen.

In February 2026, the Daily Mail published an article with the title The Killer at the Garden Center. And I thought, someone was murdered at a garden center, so I read the article. And this is a true crime story just for you. So, in the late 80s, a fashion designer named Jane Andrews was reading a magazine and saw a job advertisement for a dresser. A dresser is a person who tells famous people which outfits to wear. Jane Andrews applied, got the job and started working for Sarah Ferguson.

Sarah Ferguson was married to Prince Andrews and the Duchess of York, so she was part of the royal family and basically Jane Andrews was working for a princess for nearly 10 years. Wow, I see. So Jane Andrews was working for a duchess and

Sarah Ferguson, who was her boss. So basically Jane Andrews told her what outfits to wear. Interesting. But where is the killer?

Oh, we'll get to that. So, in 2000 Jane Andrews became famous again, but not for her sense of fashion. She killed her boyfriend, Thomas Cressman, because he didn't want to marry her. What followed were a manhunt, a prison escape, the release from prison after 15 years and much more drama.

Okay, so Jane Andrews, the dresser of Sarah Ferguson, became famous for killing her boyfriend because he did not want to marry her. Well, that sounds like a book or a TV show.

It is in fact a TV show. The show aired this year and it's called The Lady because the magazine Jane Andrews found the job advertisement in was called The Lady.

And one of the actresses in this TV show is Natalie Dormer. You might know her from Game of Thrones. And this TV show is based on true events, obviously.

Okay, so there is a TV show about the story of Jane Andrews, who worked for Sarah Ferguson and killed her boyfriend. But Anne, tell me, what has that to do with a garden center?

Well, actually not much. Some photographers saw Jane Andrews at a garden center recently in February 2026 and they took some photos and sent them to the Daily Mail. Yeah, and that is the story of the killer at the garden center.

Garden Centre. Das Gartenzentrum. To go for a walk or to take a walk. A puzzle ist nicht nur ein Puzzle, sondern allgemein ein Rätsel. Eine Schauspielerin heißt auf Englisch Actress.

A duchess ist eine Herzogin. Eine Stellenanzeige heißt auf Englisch job advertisement or job advertisement. Manhunt, das ist die Fahndung. Das Gefängnis ist das Prison. Released ist aus dem Gefängnis entlassen.
